Fashion exists in every era in a most exclusive and peculiar mode applicable to that era. Right from the olden days, there have been various fashion trends tailored for the caliber of people living in the era. Let us take a look at the ancient period.
Fashion Trend in Ancient Period
The ancient period indeed was the primitive era where all manner of awkward events happened especially when it come to fashion. Beginning with the ancient Greeks, fashion in those days of the Greek empire was quite in the primitive mode. Men go about in animal skins that barely covers their waist and the upper regions of their bodies.
In the ancient era, there were nothing like the shoes we have today. Records have it that men and women moved about in a flat like slippers made from animal skins. The ancient men in the Greek cities were mainly great philosophers and thinkers who kept themselves busy wondering about the stuff from which the whole world was made. They kept asking all manner of question and proffering seemingly answers. Hence, fashion for them was just one of the normal basic necessities for man. Their clothing was made of mainly animal skins and local fabrics.
In the ancient Egyp, the story was the same. Men and women went about in long robes and also in animal skins. As time went on, civilization started rearing its head in the ancient Egypt.
In the ancient Africa, people even the ancient Kings and queens went about half naked with their waists barely covered with tanned animal skins.
In all, fashion was just evolving. The ancient period was just the take off point as we have seen above. The journey continued till it reaches our turn today.
